Pixar and Disney brought every child’s fantasy to life in Toy Story. Buzz Lightyear, an action figure space ranger, is given to Andy one Christmas. Jessie was introduced to us in Toy Story 2 as a courageous, yodeling cowgirl. She was an abandoned toy who was eager to find a new child to bring joy to. She joined Woody and Buzz in their ongoing adventures. For you gals that yearn to be a cowgirl, dressing up as Jessie is the way to go.

Here’s some Toy Story trivia. Buzz Lightyear was named after astronaut Buzz Aldrin. Buzz Lightyear’s space suit go its design from those worn by the Apollo astronauts and the G.I. Joe action figures.

Woody was originally going to be a ventriloquist’s dummy instead of a pull-string cowboy. He got his name from Western actor Woody Strode.

The most difficult part of the character animation was syncing the real actors’ voices to the facial expressions and mouth movements of the animated characters. It took the animators a week to create an 8-second spoken frame.
